Best baby gift! OK, I have two nesting pillows and I can honestly say that they are the most used baby items I own. My son is now 19 months old and we still use it everyday! When he was born I used it to nurse him comfortably but we still used it when we switched to bottles. My husband was so nervous about holding him when he was born but using the nesting pillow while feeding him gave him the confidence he needed. Now my son uses it to lay on when we change his diaper and he sleeps with it when he has a cold because it props his head up comfortably. If my husband or I are sitting on the floor and we want to lay our heads on it our son pushes us off "his pillow". Even though we have two I think we'll have to get another one when we have a second child because my son probably won't be willing to give either one of them up.
The covers are very durable as they have been washed a gazillion times from being pee'd, drooled, and barfed on. However, there are so many cute covers on the Blessed Nest website that I'm tempted to get a new one just to change it up.
The Nesting Pillow is a great investment that can be used to years!
Good product We haven't used the product yet for sterilizing any items but we ran the initial cycle and don't have any complaints. It's very fast and doesn't require having to run the dishwasher just to sterilize a few bottles. Also, having to use a microwavable sterilizer really made me uncomfortable because of the uncertainty of cancer-causing agents in microwaved plastic. The price on Amazon is about $30 cheaper than at Babies R Us or Target so if you're considering it, purchase it through Amazon. You won't be let down.
For the skeptics, I'm sure there are other less expensive products that do the same thing but my husband and I are first-time parents and haven't realized the impracticality of many baby items out there.
very happy with this purchase We bought the Maxi Cosi Cabrio for our first baby and we loved it, though our son outgrew it pretty fast. For our second baby, we decided to get the Priori because we wanted to keep him rear facing comfortably for as long as possible, and we also knew we'd need another forward-facing car seat (our first child is still using his). Here are the pros and cons:
PROS
1. Aesthetics. The colors choices are great and we loved the pumpkin. It looks sort of maroon in the pictures, but it's a cherry red with cantaloupe accents.
2. Fabric. The fabric is very durable and washes nicely. We also like the softness of the accent fabric. It's kind of suede-like, which is nice when our son falls asleep and rests his face against it.
3. Size. Fits perfectly in our Honda CR-V, rear-facing and forward-facing.
4. Comfort. Plush enough for long car rides. The recline options are great.
5. Easy to Install. I know other customers have complained about confusing instructions, but I didn't find them hard at all. It's pretty straight-forward and only took me about 10 minutes. I used the LATCH system, rear-facing.
CONS
1. Not Attachable to a Stroller. We have the Quinny Zapp that we used with our Cabrio, and with a sleeping infant, it is really great to be able to just attach the carseat to the stroller without having to transfer them. You can't do that with this one, obviously.
2. Price. I just have to say this about all car seats. I think it's such a racket how much we are charged for baby safety equipment. $200 for everything! Eek.
Floating Blocks The floating blocks are a great tub toy. There is a nice mesh storage bag that you can hang them in and they are virtually wet proof. My son Kevin who is 15 months old, enjoys stacking the blocks in the tub and sometimes eating them too (but they are safe). I would recommend these blocks for babies who are at the stage where they are able to stack blocks.
